Thanks for the suggestions, they're all very helpful. Also, I attempted to use TaiG on my MacBook Pro through a virtual machine. My computer is very powerful (16gb RAM, 1tb SSD) but even though it was running TaiG in Windows 7, it still didn't work. I fixed the solution by running TaiG on a PC.
jailbreak stops at 30% iphone 5 8.12 have done everything you say nothing works. what can i do cant jailbreak my phone why is this jailbreak so bad I have allways jailbreaked my iphones and ipads without problems

Yes. What is your firmware version? If you are with iOS 8-8.1, you can use Pangu8 jailbreak. Also there is a another great tool, pp jailbreak for iOS 8-8.1.2 devices. But PP jailbreak only available in Mac version.
Using windows 8.1 download taig, itunes, trying to jailbreak ios 8.1.2 fresh install last night.
ERROR: Cant find apple driver, please download and install itunes. I have tried to both from the url and from itunes.com.
