Pangu9 claims iOS 9.0 – 9.0.2 jailbreak with Cydia – Is this Real?

The site www.pangu9.mobi has claimed iOS 9.0 – 9.0.2 jailbreak as Pangu9. They provides an alternative method to iOS 9.x.x jailbreak & Cydia install for iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch devices.

What is the method they propose to jailbreak & install Cydia for iOS 9 devices? According to their explanation, They have injected code containing jailbreak & Cydia in to the some selected apps which are available in the Apple app Store. So, when you install those apps on your device, the injected jailbreak and Cydia are installed too. This is the tricks they says. But the question is, this all real??

So, they ask to follow bellow steps to install Cydia for iOS 9.0 / 9.0.1 / 9.0.2 devices..

(Please Note : we are not recommend to follow this)

  • Launch Safari browser on iPhone, iPad or iPod and navigate to www.pangu9.mobi
  • Scroll down and tap on the Cydia icon has labeled “Download The Apps Here”. Then you will direct the app page.
  • Install one of them to your device.
  • Once you completed, then open the installed app and use it about for 30 seconds.
  • Restart the device. Then Cydia will be seen on the home screen

They also has seeded a video explaining the process..

Is this iOS 9 jailbreak real?

It Seems to be fake. This is not the official Pangu jailbreak. We also try with several devices but not worked. So, this is not recommend for users to install Cydia for iOS 9.0.2 – 9.0 devices. The Reddit user has pointed several things for proof it is a fake we also can agree with..

It’s clearly fake.

1 – you could fake the version of iOS with a plist edit

2 – he doesn’t once double touch the home button activating the app switcher to verify its iOS 9

3 – the older videos this person has have the same sort of scam with “untethering” iOS 8.3-8.4

4 – he seems to get paid from the app redirection if you noticed it

5 – when you first start up Cydia you always get a configuring filesystem screen(also helping the faked iOS version theory)

6 – he didn’t scroll down to show the version at the bottom of the page in Cydia

7 – there is still a 1 million USD bounty for an iOS 9 jailbreak (although it has some pretty near impossible requirements)

8 – the comments on YouTube have some pretty uncreative names and the guy that faked them has a weird obsession with bacon sayings like “holy bacon!” As I saw two comments saying something similar to this. What are the odds of two random people saying bacon “sayings” on a jailbreak video unless one was mocking the other.

If I’m wrong and proven wrong, then I take it all back.

So, What do you think about this? It’s FAKE..? or REAL..?
