Cydia Jailbreak Review – 2014

A year is going to end. Another year is ready to begin. So.. this is the time for retrospecting last year 2014. As Cydia lover, how about you feel this last year ?

Yes. Last year was a very special one for Apple idevice users with Cydia. It has generated lots of event on iOS devices such as, new device release, new OS release as well as jailbreak invents for Cydia download & install.

The last year, Cydia has been installed for Apples’ four (4) new great devices (iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3) and nine (9) versions of iOS (iOS 7.1, 7.1.1, 7.1.2, 8.0, 8.0.1, 8.0.2, 8.1, 8.1.1 & 8.1.2) with supports of jailbreak. Pangu jailbreak for iOS 7.1-7.1.2, Pangu8 jailbreak for iOS 8-8.1 and TaiG jailbreak for iOS 8-8.1.2 are the new arrivals of iOS jailbreak in year 2014. All those tools integrated with Cydia installer, were Supported to Cydia download & install for compatible idevices.

Apple-iOS-jailbreak diary –  2014

• March 10 : iOS 7.1 released. (patched the exploits used by evasi0n7 jailbreak)
• April 22 : iOS 7.1.1 released.
• June 23 : Jailbreak released by Pangu for iOS 7.1, 7.1.1 with Cydia installer.
• June 30 : iOS 7.1.2 released (This release was not included any patch for Pangu jailbreak. So, Pangu jailbreak is just updated for iOS 7.1.2. Then, Pangu can jailbreak iOS 7.1-7.1.2 with Cydia download & install.
• September 17 : iOS 8 released with more features & improvement.
• September 19 : iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus devices out with pre-installed iOS 8
• September 24 : iOS 8.0.1 released. (This Update withdrawn by the Apple due to serious issue that impacted cellular network connectivity and Touch ID)
• September 25 : iOS 8.0.2 update released.(All bug fixes in iOS 8.0.1)
• October 20 : iOS 8.1 released.
• October 22 : iPad Air 2 & iPad Mini 3 devices out with pre-installed iOS 8.1
• October 22 : In same day Pangu8 jailbreak released for the iOS 8-8.1 without Cydia installer.
• October 31 : Pangu8 jailbreak integrated with Cydia.
• November 17 : iOS 8.1.1 update released.
• November 29 : TaiG jailbreak released for support iOS 8-8.1.1 with Cydia installer.
• December 9 :  iOS 8.1.2 version out
• December 10 : TaiG jailbreak updated for iOS 8-8.1.2
• December 18 : iOS 8.2 beta 3 released for developers.

As Cydia lovers, year 2014 was great for you. Jailbreakers have won against the Apple completely in this year. So, Cydia is available for all Apple idevices as well as all newly introduced devices (iPhone 6, iPhone 6Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3). And also Cydia download & installed is possible to currently available whole versions of iOS firmware.

BiG Thanks for you..! Chinese  jailbreak developers. You were the hero of  Apple idevices users in past year. Get Cydia for those new idevices with Cydia iOS 8 is impossible without Pangu and TaiG jailbreak. Those are the great jailbreak software in year 2014 as well as the iOS jailbreak history.

Saurik also done great job with Cydia iOS 8, in last year. He was able to update Cydia as iOS 8 compatible & stable as soon as possible. Thanks saurik, to made amazing Cydia for us.

That’s how Cydia jailbreak was performed during the last year. Apple going to launch their newest & biggest firmware update, iOS 8.2 in new year 2015. We will be able to do Cydia iOS 8.2 jailbreak with new or existing tool. Say Goodbye 2014 and keep your hops up about brighter 2015.
